The Ellenville glassblowers, who struck several weeks ago because the owners of the works decided to increase the number apprentices, have virtually surrendered. Thirteen of them have returned to work, and they have agreed to accept a larger number of apprentices than the firm at first proposed. Public sentiment was against the blowers from the start. It is probable that the Blower's League will be disbanded, and that all old employes will return to work at the end of this week. Prior to the strike the men made as high as $5 a day, and many even more than that.
