MUNCIE FACTORY FIRST.

Hemingray Works Will Resume in

Full Next Sunday at Midnight.

Repairs Completed and Men Ordered to

Report for Duty First of the Week --

Means Much for the Industry.

Sunday midnight will record the resumption of the Hemingray glass works in full force. The fires have been lighted beneath the huge furnaces, and the workmen will be called to report for duty when the bells toll the passing of the Sabbath.

This is one of the most extensive glass factories in the gas belt and the fact that it is the first to resume operations for the season is evidence that business in the magic city is not wanting in this important industry. The works have been closed but a short time and the early resumption is assurance that business with the firm is very gratifying.

Orders for workmen to report for duty Sunday night or Monday morning will be posted and the furnaces will be opened and the machinery started after the midnight hour. The product of this factory is varied. The stock includes several varieties of glassware, besides insulators, lamps, cuspidors, &c. The force of workmen employed at this factory is one of the largest in the city and its resumption is an important factor in the industrial question.
