SAD ACCIDENT. — Coroner Carey was called upon yesterday to hold an inquest upon the body of a man named Benjamin Masson, aged forty-two years. He had been in the employ of Messrs. Gray, Hemmingray & Bro., No. 20 East Columbia-street. He fell through a hatchway, and struck in such a manner as to dislocate his neck and cause instant death. The Coroner’s Jury returned a verdict of accidental death. His family reside in Covington. He leaves a wife and two little children. We believe they are comparatively unprovided for, and, if this be so, here is an opportunity for the benevolent to do good.
