TURN OFF THE GAS.

All of Muncie's Glass Factories Closed

Down at Noon To-day.

To-day at 12 o'clock the fires were lowered in the following glass factories in Muncie: Ball Bros., employing 900 hands; Muncie Flint Glass Company, 250; Maring-Hart & Company, 200; Hemingray Glass Company, 150; C. H. Over glass works, 125; Port Glass Company, 125; Nelson Glass Company, 125. There are nearly 2,000 persons employed in these factories and at least 1,500 of them will be out till the next fire.

The Times will follow many of the young men while away on their vacation. We wish them all a pleasant sojourn and safe return for the next fire.

All of the factories will pay the men up in full to-morrow and several thousand dollars will be drawn by the toilers
