SOCIAL NOTES. Mrs. Rush E. Evans gave one of the most delightful entertainments of the season Friday afternoon at her home on East Main street. It was in the form of an "American Beauty Reception." The guest of honor was Mrs. Eugene Fields of Chicago. The doors and chandeliers were beautifully decorated and hung with smilax while about the dining room was a frieze of American Beauty roses with short and long stems regularly arranged and making a beautiful effect. Mrs. Evans was assisted as hostess by Mrs. C. L. Bender, Mrs. J. Arthur Meeks, Mrs. W. L. Little, Miss Koons, and Miss Hemingray. Mrs. L. S. Ganter and Miss Gray presided at the coffee. Guests to the ambit of 125 were present. A luncheon was served. Punch was dispensed during the afternoon. · · |
