EAST LIVERPOOL.
· · Mr. Wm. Brunt, the jolly and prosperous proprietor of the Phoenix Pottery, has bought a fine farm of several hundred acres a few miles out of the city, which has on it a magnificent growth, through which winds a famous fishing stream. Mr. Brunt is building a new sixteen-room house on the summer hotel plan for the use of himself and friends, with their invited guests, and this popular East Liverpool potter intends taking a little quiet country fun and enjoyment this season away from the dust of the clay bins, the heat of the kiln sheds, and the ceaseless noise of clattering dishes in the biscuit and glost warehouses. In a few weeks Mr. Brunt and family will be in the midst of happy rural life, which to him is as new as the transportation of a five-pound bass from among the hidden leaves of the lilies deep down in a Minnesota lake to the bottom of a basket. Mr. Brunt has usually taken his summer vacation in and around his pottery, and this will certainly be an enjoyable innovation, and a commendable one. |
