Tillotson as Manager of a Church Fair.

Monroe, Orange County, New York, is fortunate in being the place where Mr. L. G. Tillotson passes his evenings and Sabbaths. Grace Church, where Mr. Tillotson and his wife attend divine service, was in need of funds, and a Fair was decided upon as the most feasible means of obtaining the financial relief requisite. Mr. and Mrs. Tillotson undertook the management of this enterprise, and conducted it with characteristic energy. Mrs. T. performed a good share of the labor, and was the leading spirit, and her husband seconded her efforts in every way.

The result, as usual where Tillotson is concerned, was a brilliant success. The Fair occupied two days, Friday and Saturday of last week, and although Monroe numbers only about four hundred inhabitants, the net receipts, after defraying all expenses, were $1,750. We have no doubt but that Mr. and Mrs. T. will hereafter be greatly in demand as managers of religious and charitable fairs and festivals.
