A Good Word for the Brooks Insulator. - An

Enterprising Young Telegrapher.

PHILADELPHIA, Oct. 10.

TO THE EDITOR OF THE TELEGRAPHER.

I wish to add my testimony to that of the many others which has been made public from time to time in regard to the utility of the Brooks Insulator. It is used on the greater portion of the wires of the company with which I am connected, and the recent heavy rains have afforded us an excellent opportunity to observe its real value, as compared with the common form. It enables us to transmit our business in every respect as promptly, and with as little trouble, during heavy and long continued rains, as in fair weather. We are indebted to our enterprising and able Superintendent, Mr. C. T. Sellers, for the adoption of this insulator on our lines - which certainly reflects the greatest credit upon its inventor.

Our young friend, Master J. Harry Boyer, of Reading, Pa., to whom I alluded in my last as the "Champion Juvenile Telegrapher," has been as earnest as ever in his efforts for the advancement of telegraphic interests in general and of THE TELEGRAPHER in particular, in evidence of which I enclose the names of twenty-five more subscribers procured by him - which entitles him, I believe, to the benefit of your generous offer of the Nonpareil Instrument for the same. Does he not deserve credit? Congratulating you upon your continued success, I remain, yours cordially,         S.
