THOSE TWO STRIKES.

One is Probably Lost While the Other is

Not Changing in Any Way.

The strikes at Ball Brothers and the Hemingray Glass factories may not be successful. The Ball Brothers strikers are holding out today but a portion of the Hemingray employees have returned to work. It is reported late today that the remainder of the boys stated that they would resume work Friday; they evidently want to enjoy Halloween. The officials refuse the 10 per cent increase demanded by the boys when they quit work, and the strike will probably be lost. The conditions at Ball Brothers for a speedy return to work are not so favorable. Only a portion of the big plant is in operation today and the strikers are determined that they receive the increase demanded.
