GLASS WORKS PRODUCTS INCREASING IN DEMAND.

Three years ago a courageous and enterprising manufacturer resurrected the old abandoned glassworks at Valverde, and begun in a small way to make green bottles from the sand and limestone obtained near Morrison. Gradually he has improved his plant and increased his product, adding thereto the manufacturer of insulators for electric wires, and a greater variety of bottles. The market for these wares has grown far beyond the state, and the venture has proved so much a success that further additions have just been made, and a new plant will start with the new year in the manufacture of standard flint glass goods in all the commercial lines.

Most of the beautiful art memorial windows and stained glass windows of the churches, cathedrals and other public institutions throughout Colorado are constructed by a firm in Denver. The glass is cur into forms and figures of original design, and placed together in mosaic combinations of light and shade and color. Fine beveled plate ornamental mirrors is a specialty, and one of the original new features of the work is a glass mosaic tile, designed to take the place of onyx and marble.
