Personal Mention · · The funeral ceremonies of the late Mrs. Maggie A. Hemingray Young, last evening, at the First Baptist Church, were well attended. The casket containing the remains was literally hidden from view by floral tributes, consisting of an anchor, cross, dove, wreaths and a broken column. Mrs. Mollie Morten, Mrs. Maddox, and Messrs. John Clayton and Enoch Salt performed a quartet which sang sweetly "Rock of Ages" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." The remains were taken to Pittsburg for internment, after a most touching and appropriate sermon by the beloved pastor and friend of the deceased, Rev. W. H. Felix. · · |
