MERRY MOMENTS. Events, Past and Future In the Society World. Theatre parties are becoming quite popular in Muncie of late and many of them have enjoyed the good attractions Manager Harry Wysor has secured at the Grand. Modjeska was highly honored last evening by the presence of a party of twenty-five ladies and gentlemen members of the "What Next" club, a social organization, whose meetings are known to be the most enjoyable occurring in the Magic City. The club attended the theatre as the guests of Messrs. Willis D. Kutz, R. J. Beatty, and Jno. McVey. After the performance Mrs. T. A. Neely entertained the club at her residence on east Main street at a luncheon in honor of her sister, Miss Grace Huston, of Paris, Ill. A dainty luncheon, admirably served was one of the features of entertainment. Dancing and cards followed and although impromptu, the event was one of the most enjoyable of the season. As an entertainer Mrs. Neely is par excellence and her invitations are accepted with pleasure. The guests were: Messrs. and Mesdames George O. Comwell, H. H. Highlands, Chas. A. Kitts, Edward Olcott, Theo. F. Roe, Wm. M. Marsh, Chas. M. Turner, Robt. C. Hemingray, Mrs. Hattie M. Johnson, Miss Love, Miss Jeanette Love, and Messrs. W. D. Kutz, Jno. McVey, and R. J. Beatty. This evening at their beautiful home on West Howard street, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. O. Cromwell will entertain the "What Next" club at six o'clock dinner. The feature of the evening's entertainment is a secret but it is supposed to be of a dramatic turn. · · |
