DEATH OF MRS. TIMBERLAKE.

The sad news was received yesterday, though not unexpected, of the death of Susan Tabbitts Timberlake, which occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Robert Hemingray, at Muncie, Ind. Mrs. Timberlake was born and raised in Newport, and lived here all her life until a short time ago, when she went to make her home with her daughter. She is the daughter of the late John W. Tabbitts, one of Newport's most distinguished lawyers and statesmen in its early day. Her mother was the daughter of General Taylor, the founder of Newport. She was a kind-hearted, generous woman, and leaves many warm friends, who sympathize with her children and sisters in their affliction. The funeral takes place this afternoon at 3 o'clock, and the internment will be in Evergreen Cemetary.
