DID THE RIGHT THING. Edward Hice Returns Home and to His Work at Hemingray's Glass Works.
"All's well that ends well", is a good old maxim that can be applied to the absence of Edward Hice, the details of which were given in the Times last Saturday. He returned, is to-day at his old post of duty in the factory and all interested in his welfare are pleased. It had been arranged to put another man on in Hice's place to-day but as soon as the young man made his presence known the working sheet was changed and his name placed upon it and the promise made by the Union will be carried out if Hice does his part, which all concerned believe he will. he claims to have been in Indianapolis and that he had no idea of leaving Muncie. |
