GATHERING NUTS.

A Jolly Crowd That Had More Fun

Than Anything Else.

A jolly crowd of Muncie people constituted a nutting party at Mrs. Mary Hickok's farm, on the Centennial pike, east of the city, yesterday. The party left at 11 o'clock in the morning and returned at 5 o'clock in the evening. Although nuts were scarce, the nut-hunters had lots of fun. A sumptuous dinner was cooked on a large fire built in the woods.

Those composing the party were: Mrs. Harriet Johnston, of Washington, D. C.; Mrs. George Cromwell, Mrs. F. O. Granniss, Mrs. Robert Hemingray, Miss Jeannette Love, Mr. and Mrs. George F. McCullough, Mr. and Mrs. Thad Neely, Robert Hemingray, Fred Durham, and Miss Martha McCullough.
