Many persons residing in this city who are familiar with the names of the different large manufacturing institutions have but a slight conception of the product turned out by them. · · At the Hemingray Glass Company's plant lamps, electrical goods, such as insulators, battery jars, etc., cake covers, and other articles of this nature are blown. The glass is gathered as in the case of the window glass houses and the lamps, bowls, and battery jars are blown in a mould. The stands for the lamps are pressed in shape by pressers and the cake covers are blown and shaped by the blowers and his assistant. · · |
