J.M. Rude in bankruptcy court, receiver will be appointed

TO NAME RECEIVER

A meeting was held in the Unit­ed States Court Thursday morning for the purpose of appointing a receiver for the James M. Rude es­tate. Rude filed a petition in bank­ruptcy Tuesday, his assets being $55,000 and his liabilities $100,000. Referee M. M. Durrett acted as Judge in the absence of the Dis­trict Judge. Durrett stated posi­tively that he did not advise Rude to go into bankruptcy, as has been stated. Attorney Charles M. Striger asked asked that a receiver be appointed. The appointment has not yet been made.
