GLASS TANK EXPLODES

More than $2,000 damage was incurred at the Hemingray Glass Company early yesterday morning when a huge tank exploded. The tank contained about 75 tons of molten glass. It had been "charged" a few days ago and was to have been put into use today. Several large holes were blown in the fire-brick forming the bottom of the tank. Three crews of city firemen played water on the boiling glass from 4:36 a.m. to 11:20 a.m.
