IN HONOR OF MISS RIED.

Delightful Pink Euchre by Mrs.

Herbert Maddy.

Mrs. Herbert Maddy gave a pink euchre Thursday afternoon at her home on East Washington street in honor of Miss Marian Ried, of Rochester, N. Y., and Miss LaForce, of Bedford, Ind. The floral decorations consisted of pink carnations and the color scheme was further enhanced by a mellow light shed through pink globes. Mrs. Maddy was assisted by Miss Emily Howe and during the afternoon served a delicious two-course luncheon.

Mrs. Edith Kirby secured the first favor, a wedge-wood vase. For playing the most lone hands, Miss Lewellen Hemingray received a pretty raised plaque. Pink baskets of confections were presented to the honored guests. The personnel of the guests included: Misses Edith Kirby, Lewellen Hemingray, Louise Maddy, Vida Cassidy, Clarissa Koons, Helen Smith, Bessie Ellis, Mae Heath, Florence Gregory, Bertha Smith, Nadine Wilson, Marian Ried, LaForce, Emily Olcott, Agnes Howe, Clifford Bower, Helen Hickman, Fannie Turner, Mrs. J. Edgar Johnson, Mrs. Olin Kennedy and Mrs. Albert Richey, of Anderson.
