LAST ASSEMBLY DANCE
A PLEASING SUCCESS
Seventh Event of the Kind Delightfully Entertaining to
Two Hundred Guests.
The seventh and last assembly ball of the season, given by Muncie society people Wednesday night in Shirk's Hall, was attended by nearly 200 guests. It was probably the most brilliant of the series. The patronesses were Mesdames L. L. Turner, Edward Olcott, W. L. Little, John Kirby and T. H. Walker. The committe [sic] committee which had this and the preceding assemblies in charge consisted of W. E. Hitchcock, R. E. Evans, George A. Ball, R. W. Williams, and R. E, Walker. Montani furnished music, The dance program consisted of 19 regular numbers and four extras. The floral decorations, while not so elaborate as on previous occasions, were pretty and consisted of numerous palms, potted plants and smilax. In the reception room were arranged rugs und tables. In one corner was a cozy corner. A collation was served.
