GLASSWORKERS TO ATTEND FUNERAL
Noah Bird, formerly foreman of the Hemingray glass factory here, died Thursday at his home in Covington, Ky., of dropsy. He had for nearly 30 years been connected with the Hemingray factories. Impaired health compelled his retirement about nine weeks ago. The funeral services will take place at Covington Sunday afternoon. Thomas Murray went to Covington Saturday morning as one of the party of six sent by Local No. 33 [sic] 23. John Butler, George Matheson, Thomas Carroll, Michael Carey and Peter Concannon followed last night, to attend the funeral. |
