DANCING PARTY

Given By

Mr. and Mrs. Ganter

Mr. and Mrs. Leo Ganter gave an elaborate private dancing party in Shirk's Hall Wednesday evening. Almost two hundred guests danced until morning to the music of the Marion Soldiers' Home Band orchestra. With the beautiful gowns of the women present and the elaborate decorations the ball room scene was an effective one. Strands of incandescent lights, entwined in holly and smilax, hung from the pillar in the center of the room to the surrounding posts. The mantels were banks of palms and ferns. Card tables were stationed in the north end of the room for those who wished to indulge in this pastime. Punch was served during the evening, and in the late hours a four-course supper by J. R. Hummel, caterer. The program consisted of the two-step and waltz, the dances which are so popular with the society set this season.
