At Hemingray's.

At Hemingray's glass works but fifteen women women are at present employed, although the force is sometimes increased in number to thirty. The work here for the women is always the same. Lamps are sorted, tops put on, and the whole wrapped ready for shipping is the work done by the women.

Although there is no chance for advancement here, some of the women have worked at Hemingray's for four years or more. In this place the women wear their wraps, on account of the present cold weather.
