HEMINGRAY STRIKERS WERE ARRESTED · · STRIKERS ARRESTED. Three of the Hemingray strikers were arrested yesterday on the charge of assaulting William Hickenbottem, a boy who persisted in working at the old wage. The strike is not yet settled, an [sic] and will not be, according to the boys, until the management agrees to their terms. The boys at the Hemingray factory believe their chances are good for securing the advance in wages, as the management is at present operating seven shops and is using men in the places formerly filled by boys. · · |
