MEN TAKE PLACE

OF STRIKING BOYS

·

·

The friends of Willie Hickenbottom, who was assaulted by the boys at the Hemingray glass factory, wish to make the statement that he has not attempted to take the place of any of the strikers as reported in another paper but had been employed there at wages in excess of the demands made by the strikers. They think an injustice has been done the young man.
