The Ball Bros.' Glass Company, Hemingray Glass Company, Republic Iron and Steel Company, Midland Steel Company, and many other manufacturing concerns report a great scarcity of labor. Men for common labor can hardly be secured, and boy labor is worse yet. In some instances portions of factories have been closed down as a consequence.
