STRIKE AT END

Hemingray's to Operate in

Full Monday.

BOYS TO RETURN TO WORK

At an Advance of Ten Cents

on the Day Over the

Old Scale.

The strike of the boy employes of the Hemingray factory is practically at an end. This was the statement made by the manager last evening. He said that the majority of the shops were in operation Saturday, and that he was confident that all the shops would be operated Monday. Since last Thursday, he stated, the boys have been returning to work.

The boys evidently thought their chances of having their demands granted were hopeless, and concluded to return to work rather than remain idle all summer.

The terms of the settlement call for a 10-cent advance on the day over the old scale. This was the demand originally made by the boys, and which was granted by the management. The latter stated, however, that when the first demand was granted it was doubled, and that this would not be conceded.

All parties concerned seem pleased that the strike has been ended. The factory is expected to be operated in full from tomorrow till the close of the fire.
