The Hemingray Glass company is one of the oldest glass manufacturing institutions in Muncie, and is located in Industry. This firm has two tanks and employs 400 workmen, with a pay roll of more than $150,000 per annum. The product from this plant is more diversified than any other in the city. Both blown and pressed glass ware is here produced, principally battery jars, arc light globes, fish globes, lamps, cake covers, insulators and a multitude of other ware. Ralph G. Hemingray is president of the company; Bradford Shinkle, vice president; D. Hemingray, secretary and treasurer.
