Striking Helpers Discharged

at Hemingray's Factory.

MANY RETURN TO WORK

There was but three idle shops Friday night in the Ball Brothers' two glass factories, resulting from the boys' strike, and they will probably be filled Saturday. The company compromised with the juvenile strikers Friday and most of them returned to work. Some of the old employes are not wanted by the firm, and the new boys will fill the places. The entire plant will be on today, and no further trouble is anticipated.

At the Hemingray factory a different situation existed Friday night. The boys from that factory are still out, but in addition to being out on a strike have been discharged. The company has paid them off, and they were given orders by an officer not to come about the factory unless it is to return to work, as they were employed before. The company is filling the vacant places speedily as possible, but a report Friday night was to the effect that but three shops were at work.
