BOYS' STRIKE
COMES TO END
It Caused Heavy Loss to Men
and Employers.
NOTHING WAS GAINED
The most recent strike of the boys employed as helpers at the Hemingray and Ball Brothers' glass factories is at an end, and nothing has been gained, while the loss amounts to thousands of dollars, with the companies, workmen and boys the losers, The lads are gradually returning to work, the two factories at Ball Brothers working full force Monday, while the Hemingray plant had on 16 more shops Monday and 14 working Monday night. There will be other boys at work Tuesday at the Hemingray plant, almost a full force. These periodical strikes among the boys occur in every glass factory where boys are employed. The blower and gatherer can not work when there are no boys to carry away the ware and they are forced to lay off. This results in a loss of time to them, and a corresponding loss in production of ware to the manufacturer.
