BOOM ON AT HAMILTON
The city of Hamilton, Can., is said to be in the midst of the greatest building expansion of any year in its history. Building operations have been general, and have included both new factories and residences. Last week the Diamond Flint Glass Co. started work on their new plant. The new building is the first of a series which the company contemplate erecting on the ten acre site recently acquired on Trolly Street, secured for the company by the former Industrial Commissioner, William Mulliss.
The new building will cover a ground space of 150 feet by 300 feet, and will enable the company to reach a manufacturing capacity of twice its present limit. The cost of the new buiilding will be between $40,000 and $50,000. Excavation work has begun, and it is expected to have the structure finished before November.
