IN LOCAL LABOR CIRCLES. A number of new machines arrived at Ball Brothers' Coffeyville, Kan., plant recently and were immediately placed in operations. Ball Bros.' factories are working full. They have 114 shops on jars at present. The white liner department is also running steadily. The new tank at the Hemingray plant is running along will on lamps and iron mold ware. The new machines to make the Globe jar have been installed. Matthews, Ind., April 4. — The strike of the lehrtenders and the shove boys at the Sun window glass factory has been settled. The men asked for an increase of $1 per week. At a conference between the management and the workmen all the differences were satisfactorily adjusted. |
