BRADFORD SHINKLE
DANGEROUSLY ILL
Relatives Fear That the
Covington Millionaire May
Not Survive an Attack
Brought on by a
Complication of Diseases.
Bradford Shinkle is dangerously ill at his home, on East Second-st., Covington, and his family greatly fear that he cannot recover.
His son, E. Clifford Shinkle, has been at his father’s bedside or in the Shinkle home constantly for the past four days.
Mr. Shinkle is suffering from a complication of diseases, kidney trouble, weak heart and asthma.
A year ago he was desperately ill for several weeks, and he has not been a well man since.
The fact that he is in a precarious condition was cabled today to Mr. Shinkle’s daughter, Mrs. Mellie Cross, who, with her husband, Dr. Frank Cross, is spending the winter in Europe.
Monday night Mr. Shinkle suffered a relapse and was only resuscitated when heroic methods were adopted by his physician, Dr. Mark Brown, of Cincinnati.
Mr. Shinkle is a millionaire and one of Cincinnati and Covington's most prominent business men. He was 60 years old last October. He is a Director and majority stockholder in many local and Cincinnati financial institutions and business houses.
