Change in the Office of Federal Marshal - Colonel B. W. Foley has been appointed Provost Marshal of Covington and Kenton County, vice James L. Foley, resigned.

Researcher notes:James L. Foley was a son of Bushrod Foley, first Mayor of Covington, Kentucky. He acquired an eighth interest in the glass works following the death of Ralph Gray in 1863. He acquired an additional one sixteenth interest when he and Richard Evans bought Joseph Conway Hemingray's eighth interest in 1865. He was named Vice President of the Hemingray Glass Company in 1871.
