The "Newark National Advance" was the title of an old newspaper published here forty years ago, and made its appearance every Wednesday.

Here are a few personal items in this forty year old paper:

Prof. Sam Hemingray was among his friends the past week. He has "braced up" and is now teaching music at Columbus, and we are glad to hear, with much success.

Researcher notes:	Forty years ago would place the date of the original paper in 1878. "Prof. Sam Hemingray" was Samuel Hemingray, son of Samuel J. and Ann (Jones) Hemingray. The term "braced up" is not understood in the context of this article.
