FUNERAL AT COVINGTON FOR RALPH G. HEMINGRAY Company, Lodge, and Club Representatives Attend Rites For Muncie Glass Manufacturer. Delegations from the Commercial, Country, and Rotary clubs, members of the Elks lodge and of the Hemingray Glass company, went to Covington, Kentucky, today to attend the funeral of Ralph G. Hemingray, 67, president of the Hemingray Glass company of Muncie, who died Tuesday evening at Covington. Services were held at 4 o'clock this afternoon in the home of his sister, Mrs. Bradford Shinkle. Interment will be made in the Highland cemetery, near Covington. The Reverend Marshall M. Day, pastor of the Grace Episcopal church here, officiated at the rites. Mr. Hemingray came to Muncie thirty-two years ago with his father, Robert, and two brothers, Robert and Daniel, formed the Hemingray Glass company. At the death of the elder Mr. Hemingray, Ralph became president of the plant. Mr. Hemingray's death came as a surprise to his many friends here since he apparently was in fair health when he left the city with Mrs. Hemingray, for a visit in his old home Saturday. His condition was not considered critical until a few hours before his death. He is survived by the widow, Eva H., two daughters, Mrs. Philip McAbee, of Muncie, and Miss Llewellyn Hemingray, of Cincinnati, and two sisters, Mrs. Shinkle, of Covington; Mrs. Mellie Felix, of Lexington, Ky. |
