Mr. Brookfield Bought the Warrick Glass Works.

Last week we stated that Mr. Wm. Brookfield, proprietor of the Bushwick Glass Works, Brooklyn, N.Y., had purchased the green glass plant at Woodbury, N.J., recently vacated by the American Bottle Co. But we were in error. Mr. Brookfield did not purchase the Woodbury plant, but he purchased the works of the Warrick Glass Co., at Glassboro, N.J. Our informant got the localities mixed. The Warrick Glass Works comprise one of the oldest glass manufacturing concerns in New Jersey, or in the United States. They have not, however, been operated since late in 1890. They were to have been sold at sheriff's sale on Friday last at the suit of William Holloway et. al., but Mr. Brookfield purchased the property at private sale for $25,000. The plant will be somewhat enlarged and will be ready for operations by the beginning of next season.
