MRS. P. W. McABEE

DIES IN FLORIDA

Rites Saturday for Prominent

Muncie Woman.

Mrs. Carroll Hemingray McAbee, prominent Muncie woman, died unexpectedly early Wednesday morning in Cocoa, Fla., where she and her husband, Philip W. McAbee, have been spending the winter.

Friends here were informed that Mrs. McAbee died quietly in her sleep. Though not ill she had been in poor health for several years. Her death was believed due to a heart condition.

Mrs. McAbee was the daughter of Ralph Hemingray, pioneer glass manufacturer. Her marriage to Philip McAbee took place on April 24, 1907. Except for a period of about nine years when the couple resided in Cleveland she and Mr. McAbee had lived in Muncie since then. The family home is at 824 E. Washington St.

Her step-mother, Mrs. Eva Hemingray died here last week. A sister, Mrs. Llewellyn Hemingray, died at her home in Covington, Ky., several years ago. The husband is the only survivor.

Mrs. McAbee was a member of the Art Student's League, the Conversation Club, and the Delaware Country Club. Mr. and Mrs. McAbee left Muncie for Florida last October.

The body is being brought to the Meeks mortuary in Muncie, where friends may call after 10 a.m. Saturday. The casket will not be opened. The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Saturday, with the Reverend C. Russell Moodey officiating. Burial will be in Beech Grove Cemetery. The body will arrive in Cincinnati at 10 p.m. Friday.

Mrs. Frederick E. Rose, widow of the Muncie banker, was with Mrs. McAbee when she died.
