COTILLION CLUB HOP.
Most Brilliant Affair in the Shirk Hall
Last Evening.
One of the most enjoyable dances yet given by the popular Cotillion club was that of last evening. Shirk's hall in which the ball took place was lavishly decorated in the national colors and by the flags of free Cuba intermingled. On every hand potted plants, palms, and flowers were in abundance. The beautiful appearance of the room well indicated the taste of the decorators. Basket ball and dancing served to while away the hours until the early morning. Rhine Hummel, the well known caterer, had the refreshments in charge and these were served in buffet fashion. Mesdames Turner, Olcott, Winans, and Little acted as patronesses. The guests from outside the city were Miss Crimmel, of Hartford City; Miss White of Terre Haute; Mr. and Mrs. Evans, of Chicago. From this city were Misses Winchester, Hemingray, Kirby, Hickman, Ballard, Sue Smith, McNaughton, Ellis, Eiler, Turner, Gill, Williams, Streeter, and Jacobs; Messrs. Robert Nonnamaker, Harry Cates, Walter McNaughton, Fred Swain, John Sprowl, Robert Walker, Arthur Cassady, Karl Oesterle, J. Lee Turner, Will Myers, Walter Baker, Frank Gass, Dr. Wallace, Robert Williams, Carl O'Hara, and Walter Ryan; Mr. Mrs. L. S. Ganter.
