CLOSING OF PLANTS.

Boldt Glass Plants as Well as Others

Ready to Close.

Tonight at 12 o'clock the fires will be drawn from the tanks at the Boldt Glass works in West Fifth street and the employees of the factory will be given a two month's vacation. The factory has been running steady and has experienced a good business. During the vacation repairs and improvements will be made. The factory will resume operation about September 1. The employees will mostly spend their vacation out of Muncie and a large number of them will visit in the east. With the closing of the Boldt Glass works the leading glass factories of the city will be closed. Ball Brothers and the Hemingray plants closed Saturday for the annual vacation and will all resume about September 1. The plants are not very well stocked at the present time and when work resumes in the fall steady work will be required to replace it.
