WILL SWEAT YOUNG CAREY In Order to Learn Identity of Other Shooters of Craps.
Another harbinger of spring was discovered by the Muncie police Sunday afternoon when they learned that a hot game of craps was on in the east part of the city. The police hastened to the scene which was near the Hemingray glassworks and they disturbed the game. There were a few fellows shaking the bones but they caught sight of the police and fled. The officers however were successful in learning the name of one of the shooters. This morning Patrolman Coons arrested Charles Carey for gaming as Carey was one of the gamesters. Carey pleaded guilty and paid a fine of $18.30. The police will put Carey in the sweatbox in order to ascertain the names of the other crapshooters. |
