TRADE AT BROOKLYN

BROOKLYN, N.Y., March 6. - A general wave or prosperity seems to have struck this City of Churches this year, and all factories are making splendid runs. Quite a number of small plants are now in operation in this city and vicinity, among them being one at Maspeth and one at Fresh Pond. Only two or three shops are employed at each place. The former is under Green jurisdiction and the latter is worked by flints.

At the Brookfield glass works about 30 shops are employed on bottles and 20 in the press department. They have had a heavy run on insulators this season; in fact, we were informed by F. S. Tomlin that business has been brisk in both departments up to the present time. Four continuous tanks are in operation now. The outlook is bright.
