HISTORIC INSULATOR. - "Elect. Eng'ing.," Nov. - An illustration of what is thought to be probably the oldest specimen in existence of that type of insulator which is used in places where the permanent fastening of the wire is not desirable; it is the form used originally on the Washington - Baltimore line, and was obtained from one of the first lines built in Wisconsin, in 1848.
