Increased Production

Planned by Officers

Of Insulator Plant

Announcement has been made by W. S. Cook, head of the Cook Porcelain Insulator Co., of Byesville, that production in the plant will be doubled soon by the installation of additional equipment. Orders for new machines were placed last week with the Zanesville Malleable Co.

The capital stock of the company was increased to a half million dollars recently to make possible the purchase of new equipment and the expansion program. The company has been in operation about 18 months, since its purchase of the old Byesville glass works.

New kilns will be erected, it is reported and the plant generally improved to make possible the doubled production. There are 125 men employed at the plant at the present but the payroll will be increased when the new machinery has been placed.
