Everything is being gotten in readiness for the opening of the Hemingray glass works, which has been closed down for the regular summer vacation. The officials state that it is their intentions to have the plant in operation within a week or ten days. Numerous repairs and improvements have been made. Two furnaces will at first be placed in operation and later the flint furnace will be opened.
