The Bushwick Glass Works, Mr. William Brookfield, proprietor, has, in recent months, steadily increased its output in the green glassware line, the most marked improvement being in insulators. The rapid spread of the trolley system and the application of electricity to various novel purposes have kept up and intensified the demand for green glass used for insulation. In this department, business is booming. The bottle trade is not quite so satisfactory. At the beginning of the present year the supply of bottles on hand was greatly in excess of public needs, and the results of over production are still felt on the market. When existing stocks are worked off, the bottle trade will resume its normal condition of prosperity. With the exception noted, the green glassware business is doing very well indeed. In the Bushwick Works are manufactured all descriptions of goods in the lines mentioned, and it is quite needless to say that the quality of the wares can always be depended on as first class in every particular.
