EASTERN GLASS AFFAIRS
Conditions Better at Brooklyn — Some Wonderful Glassmaking
·

The Bushwick Glass Works (Brookfield's) is giving employment to a larger force than last year and business has been fairly good, with encouraging future prospects. F. S. Tomlin, the well known former Green League official, is still superintendent of the factory department here. We understand the force in the insulator department has been increased since last year and that the company is working on a new method of producing these goods whereby they get a greater output at a smaller cost. They have been experimenting on this new method for some time now, and according to our informant they are getting practical results. Not having seen the machines we can give nothing authoritative as to the results obtained.
