PERSONAL. Christmas will be more a gala day in Covington this year than for many a one. Besides the usual family reunions and Christmas tree celebrations for the little ones, the society set have diverged from the trodden path by arranging for the big event of the holidays, the Christmas cotillion, to be on Christmas night. Messrs. John Kennedy, Bruce Carruthers, and George Eaton are the committee who have the dance in charge. Mesdames Edward Grant, Daniel Hemingray, and William S. Perkins will be the patronesses. · · |
