OBITUARY Mrs. Llewellyn S. Matthews. Many Chillicotheans will learn with regret of the death of Mrs. Llewellyn S. Matthews, at her home in Covington, Kentucky, at 5:30 Tuesday morning. Mrs. Matthews was the widow of Major Thomas A. Matthews, of Covington, who died in 1885 and is survived by two daughters, Miss Lida P. Matthews, who lived at her mother's home, and Mrs. David Meade Massie, of Chillicothe, and one son, Lewis P. Matthews, Esq., of Springfield, Ohio. Three grandchildren also survive her, Miss Llewellyn M. Hemingray, of Covington, and Mrs. Philip W. McAbee, of Muncie, Indiana, daughters of her deceased daughter, Mrs. Ralph G. Hemingray, and Thomas A. Matthews, of Springfield, a son of Mr. Lewis P. Matthews. Mrs. Matthews was an unusually bright and attractive woman and had many friends wherever known. She was in her ninety-first year at the time of her death. |
