Brilliant Nuptials

One of the most brilliant events in St. Louis society this season, was the marriage of Miss Florence Johnson and Bradford Shinkle, which was celebrated at the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Johnson, 7000 Delmar-blvd., Wednesday evening. The marriage ceremony was performed by Dr. S. J. Niccolls, pastor of the Second Presbyterian Church, of St. Louis, in the presence of relatives and friends, after which followed a large reception from 8:30 to 10:30. Mrs, Lee J. Niedringhaus, sister of the bride, was matron of honor, Miss Olivia Dudley, of Florence, Ala.; Miss Lillian Talbott, of Dayton, O., and Miss Louise Nugent, of St. Louis, were the maids. Slifford [sic] Clifford Shinkle was best man. Messrs. Howard Stevens, Ed Bering, Stewart Anderson, of Cincinnati, and Andrew Johnson, of St. Louis, were the ushers.

The groom has decided to locate in business in St. Louis, instead of the Queen City. After an extended bridal trip through the West and South, they will visit Mrs. Bradford Shinkle, on East Second-st,, before going to St. Louis.

Mrs. Shinkle, Miss Llewellyn Hemingray, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Shinkle, Dr. and Mrs. Frank Cross and son, Frank; Miss Talbott, Messrs. Dan Hemingray, Mr. and Mrs. Ralp [sic] Ralph Hemingray, Stevens, Ed Bering, Stewart Anderson and several Cincinnatians who went down for the wedding, arrived home Thursday.
